THE Holiday List

We're all going on a summer holiday!... Well I'm not :(

But I'm pretty sure the rest of the bloody world is!... Now I'm not going to be your mother and tell you how many pairs of clean knickers to take but I am going to recommend a few things for those SOS situations.. i.e Sea frizz hair or patchy burnt legs after a day sleeping off a hangover on the lilo in the pool..(Yes I have experienced this one!)

Anyway...I thought I would contribute in the only way I can with what I believe is THE essential Holiday List...

The Plane Journey

Ok, so we all know plane journeys can be very boring - and very damaging to our pre-holiday excitement enduced glow! So here are a few products that will help along the way!

De-Hydration

Avene Thermal Spring Water - £6.64 200ml/ £3.15 50ml

This is amazing - and should be owned holiday or no holiday! Great to replenish loss of hydration in the skin and all over the body during flight. Also finds it's uses during your holiday....
- Sunburn

- Razer/wax rash

- Re-fresh/set makeup

- Use as toner after cleansing

.. Or just if your getting a little too sweaty betty around the pool!

Specially formulated for Sensitive/Intolerable skin types!

Avene Rich Compensating Cream - £16.50 50ml

Another Avene product and a little pricey! (Ask a skin consultant in boots for a sample size to try...(They have PLENTY!) ..but Avene really is great for de-hydrated and sensitive skin types.

- Use as a mask after flight in your hotel room or apply on sun burnt areas on face.

On The Beach

Lanolips Lip Ointment with Colour SPF15 - £8.00 12.5ml

(Apples, Rubarb, Dark Honey, Sunshine & Rose)Absolutely LOVE these! So ridiculously moisturising, made with 100% organic lanolin which holds 200% of its own weight in moisture (basically a little goes a LONG way)
The colours are so pretty. I have Rubarb, the colourless 101 ointment and Lemonaid Lip Aid (with organic lemon that makes you want to eat your own mouth.)

SPF 15... you do the beach math.

Hawaiin Tropic Spray Oil - £12.76 200ml

If you love the coconut scent, feel and quicker results of a tanning oil and are just a bit stupid in the sun like I am! Then you'll be pleased to know Hawaiian Tropic now go up to an SPF20 in their tanning oils and a 30 in the lotion. Obviously you'll need a higher SPF depending on where in the world your going...

Just be careful!

Also make sure the UVA rating is HIGH! Soltan at boots do 5* So if your a safe sally then that's your purchase!

TIP: Before you drag your burnt bum back to the hotel, get down the the sea and exfoliate with the sand...Just trust me!

AND DONT FORGET PLENTY OF WATER!!!!

...Ok that was my only mommy mode bit!

Back In The Hotel

This is the time where we undo the damage that we did to ourselves in the day... Sunburn, frizzy head of hair, sweaty blotchy face. You get it....

Aussie Take The Heat Range - Price ranges from £3 - £6

Anything with a restorative nature in hair care will be your best friend on holiday. Aussie is great for me as it protects, restores, adds shine.. and knocks the frizz straight out of hair. Even the next day! If you were to get anything from this range make it the Take The Heat 3 Minute Miracle.

Garnier Intensive 7 Days - £4.99 400ml

My 'go-to' body moisturiser. Caters to 5 different skin types. I recommend the Shea Butter for your holiday. You wont see a scaley leg in sight! Absorbs quickly so you can jump into your maxi dress asap.

Cannot fault this product!

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - £9.95 75ml

Who wants to start loading a load of self tanner on their legs on holiday...errr...not us! Perfect for covering up blotchy sunburn legs if you got a bit carried away with reading Twilight for 2 hours lying on your front! Darn that Edward!
Comes in 4 shades and doesn't react to water during the night, or if you manage to throw a cocktail or 8 down yourself... But washes off nicely in the shower the next day.

MUST HAVE!

Make - up

The important bit... Most would usually stick to non during a beach day. However if your a little self concious like myself, a tinted moisturiser would suffice....

No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser - £12.00 50ml

It's tough finding a low cost but GOOD tinted moisturiser. This one has a UVA rating of 5* (the highest posible) SPF15 and it leaves skin with a nice radiance and glow to it. Beach worthy!

Collection 2000 Glam Metallics Eye Liner - £2.99 (yes I know!!)

All eyes need on a summer evening of cocktails and the odd rotating bull challenge is a hint of tropic colour. These a perfect and I completely rate Collection 2000 with their eye-liners. The Extreme liquid pen is my holy grail! ... Buy all 5 I say!!

Max Factor False Lash Effect Waterproof - £10.99

It's volumising, it's lengthening, it's waterproof. Ladies it's all you need!

Prestige SunBaked Mineral Bronzer - £9.49

Half the price of a MAC MSF, but just the same soft shimmery pay off. Available in 3 colours and gives such a yummy sun kissed look to the skin. Used on temples, cheek bones and anywhere the sunlight naturally hits. One of my favourite bronzers of all time!

I awoke to find a lovely surprise on my doormat Saturday morning....

LASHES!!!

It is as if they knew what a sucker a am for a false lash (hence 3 packs being empty!!)

Introducing... Superdrug's LASH. The range includes 8 different reusable designs which each offer a distinct look and include their own glue adhesive. The range is totally handmade and the lashes feel soft and are very comfortable and light to wear.

The lovely people at Superdrug kindly sent me 5 out of the 8 as you can see in the image.

My favourites without a doubt are Natural Edition 12 - for daytime lashes. So long and curly and flirty - actually couldn't stop looking at myself!!! (RIP Natural Edition 12 - My cat has since eaten them GRRR!!!)

For a night out Double Volume (layered lash strips) Edition 42 are AMAZING, I've even wore them to work my own eyes made me that jealous!

FYI - Not keen on Natural Edition 10!

Each pack also has a clear picture on how the lashes will look on! Meaning no disappointment when you get home!

Red HOT or NOT?

Ok so literally millions of people have recently turned to the box of red hair colour.

It all started with this lady... (im guessing!)....

Chezza Cole, whos cherry locks started a frenzy of - "which shade of red do I choose??" - and - "Are they really claiming a semi-perm colour such as Casting Crème in Mahogany was what Cheryl really used???" (That was my main question!) Of which I highly doubt as you can see its a mix of highlights and low lights to create this rich dark red. *MAGAZINES LIE*

So I jumped on the bandwagon and experimented with the dark almost violet reds....

But EVERYONE has this colour now right?... So I wanted to follow a new trend :)

RED Red!

And i used Live XXL Colour in Red Passion to do it.

I was really suprised by the outcome as my hair is very stubborn and hardly takes any colour - quite frustrating! I have used this colour before but it never came out this intense.

I think it was mainly to do with the fact ive been getting my hair back to good condition as I'm trying to grow it out. For those of you who didn't know it used to look like this...

But I'm forever changing my hair so now I'm back to growing it out and want Megan Fox hair, and NOW!

What I've been using to get it back in shape is

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour Deep Treatment £4.50. Used after my shampoo and before my normal conditioner. It is amazing, that is all. My hair is no longer dry and it actually seems to be growing finally!

So what does everyone think of the red trend, is it long over or has it got some life still left in it???

Now to the task in hand....
Along with a large amount of girls my age - I suffer from problematic skin.

I am very dry, acne prone and have been subjected to scarring. Please note I NEVER pick. Oh the irony!

My skin recently looks perfect with foundation on, I don't get white heads just small angry red cysts. But underneath those layers I have a disastrously uneven skin tone. Redness, blemishes, scarring - It ain't pretty. But I don't let it get me down as I know I'm not alone.

My previous skin care routine was using the Eucerin Dermopurifyer, and don't get me wrong - this stuff is heaven sent at only £9 a bottle. I used the gel cleanser and the cream-gel moisturiser. UK beauties can purchase here!

Always on the hunt for new skin care and forever willing to try something new, I was very excited when the people from Cellnique emailed me to ask if I would like to try some of their products! They were very helpful and asked me questions on my skin type and sent my the products they thought best.

After 2 days this has cleared 2 fresh blemishes!

I am currently adapting pure HATE for my stupid hair.

As most of you know I previously had my hair chopped from this....

To this....

LOVED it beyond belief.

But... as my nature and personality goes, I've grown bored over the last 5months and have now started to begin the painfully slow process of growing it out.

I'm currently around this length....

So after all of 2 months since this photo was taken.. I have struck hair style limbo. That horrible transition period where your hair looks shit and screams "IM GROWING MY HAIR OUT" and at this point I always give up and cut it!

However! I have decided to power on through and give myself a feasible target that doesn't seem too far away from where I am....

DIY Phone Cover

I caught up on a touch of retail therapy today mostly due to work sucking the soul out of me during the week - lets just say I needed it!..

So I was browsing Accessorize - not really looking for anything. When I came across these...

And instantly thought... BLACKBERRY!

I already have a hard silicone pink case on my Blacky but, it bores me to say the least. I've always lusted after the cases with all the shrapnel attached to the back (I know there is a name for them?) So I thought I would do a DIY job at a much cheaper £1.75. There were loads of different types but I was drawn to the hearts...

The stickers are very sticky... I misplaced a couple and struggled to remove them (chipped my nail varnish aswel!!!)

Et voila! Not bad for £1.75?

I don't know about you but i look pretty miserable without a good tan. I am proud to say i am a tanerexic!
I love trying different products to get the most perfect flawless golden brown possible.

I had recently been using St Moritz Mousse - HomeBargains/BodyCare (poor girls St Tropez) ... I was hooked on this, colour is perfect, dries instantly but also dries my skin out and doesn't last long - but what do you expect for £3.00!?

The guys at Vita Liberata very kindly sent me a nice package a couple of weeks ago...

**What they say**
If you have very pale, hard-to-tan skin then this is your product. Organic extracts have been specially formulated to turn you golden brown in an instant and last for days (even after showering). Develops in 4-6 hours. Pale skin will become a golden brown. Sallow skin will become a rich mahogany.

**What I say**
The colour is VERY intense even on first application- but I love this, you can see the colour as your applying and you have a dark tan instantly! As I have extremely naturally pale skin it gives me that stated 'golden brown'. And yes- It is in fact - odourless! There is a hint of watermelon or something fruity when first applied but no post biscuit smell - wonderful!
I can apply the first layer and shower/bath around 4-5 times and the colour is still present. Moisturise and exfoliate to keep the colour wearing evenly.

I actually adore this - it is like velvet!! I usually apply with the Boots' own tanning mitt for around £4.00 so this will now definitely be taking it's place being the same price. It's velvety texture calls for flawless application, great for buffing as well in the small case of streaking or mistakes. e.g applied too much on your nuckles/toes! I am sold!

1. My laptop got lots of diseases and died on me for around 3 weeks.
2. My camera battery went and i am still unable to find my cable charger for it! grrr annoying (which also means my YouTube account has been non exhistant for 4 weeks now)
3. I want to just climb into bed every night after work.
4. These excuses are lame.....

I know a lot of you have been asking where i am and i'm totally sorry, im catching up on my YouTube comments and i will get round to everyone!

For the people who actually read this thing....
Ok so not much has changed since i last posted, i've been on a bit of a spending ban recently so it's not like you've missed anything! (starting to realise how expensive a fashion and beauty blog/youtube channel is to upkeep!)
I'm currently about to move house in 2 weeks so i'm going to have to start packing around about NOW. Which i don't seem to be getting anywhere with. I always end up just throwing stuff to charity shops when i move purley because i am lazy and a brutal packer!

So boring part over.

Gel cleanser, highly rating this cleanser! Its gentle but tough at combating my horrible blemishes. Also non-drying so you don't get that awful post-cleanse tightness - bonus! Works in around 3-6 weeks before you notice substantial differences.

EXFOLIATE...
MAC Microfine Refinisher (discontinued - booo!)
I shan't go on about this as thats rubbing it in with it being discontinued...but it's GREAT! - Alternatively a Micro-Dermabration scrub will give the same results! Promise!

Obtained in a recent swap with YouTuber NotoriousNoee - love at first treatment! Sucks up and dries out all my nasty blemishes and really tones the redness down. I've seen a significant decrease in blackheads too! Ugh i don't know what i'm going to do once this has all gone :( EBay!!

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Day 12

Hello beauties...

So here is DAY 12 of my 30 days with the Lash Accelerator from Rimmel.

WHEN WEARING MASCARA
Already, myself.. (and my mum and a few girls at work)... have noticed how much longer my lashes look with the mascara on, and i am still thoroughly enjoying using

this mascara! I did actually use my L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara one day and i just didn't feel like it gave me the length that the Lash Accelerator does! This is major for me as i friggin' LOVE L'Oreal VML!

WITHOUT MASCARA

I think i am definitely reaping the benefits from the Growth Complex within the mascara, which i really didn't think I'd notice! But my lashes are actually feeling more curlier and more than anything thicker after using this for 12 days! I am very surprised as i did not expect massive changes but my new found fullness is being happily welcomed :)

NEW Rimmel Lash Accelerator DAY 1

The lovely people down at Superdrug were recently ever so kind to send me the new breakthrough from Rimmel London... Just out Today!..

Lash Accelerator!

This this tube of mascara promises instant and advanced "ultra-lengthened" lashes - 80% longer than usual! PLUS Grow-Lash complex which strengthens, nourishes and renews lashes for up to 117% longer looking lashes after 30 days (i really don't know who calculates these percentages!haha) So after a tearful good by to my L'oreal Volume Million Lashes i took a deep breath and unscrewed the tube....

...The brush didn't amaze me all that much. I instantly thought- "cheap"- as i pulled the skinny brush out the tube....

On my first application 31/08/10 i was pleased with the result.. the formula wasn't as sloppy or runny as i thought and it was easily buildable and lashes were nice and separated thanks to the "cheap" thin bristled brush. Not so cheap anymore!

One day Sarah pops up on Facebook asking me if I have ever laid my eyes upon the delight that is Maura Nicholson's jewellery. Being the vain, self-indulgent young lady i am i slammed my keys into google and searched for Maura Nicholson....

WOW

Ok so i had the impression that the jewellery was going to be good but they were stunningly good. I like jewellery but i'm self-confessed Topshop/River Island/Primark fashion accessory junkie.

I've had my first taste of one-off high end - and i like it.

I contacted Maura Nicholson almost instantly to praise her fantastic pieces - particularly my fondness of the "Love Hurts" collection and she was so kind to reply and tell me more about herself!

Maura is from a very creative background with her family being a

vid artists, poets, musicians (anything creative - you name it - they were it!) So Maura went on to Southampton Art College where she specialised in jewellery of cause and sold her own pieces within local art galleries.
After leaving college she took to exhibiting her pieces and was quickly approached by gallery and shop owners.

To this date Maura has sold her beautiful jewellery pieces within Janet Fitch, Harrods, Fortnum and Masons. Her designs also appeared in You magazine, Elle, Marie Claire, Company, New Woman and Vouge!

Maura was so kind to send me a pair of earrings from her "Love Hurts" collection - which i was SO excited about....

L'Oreal's Volume Million Lashes 10/10!

I have been through MANY a mascara in my years and i think i have finally found a soul mate for my lashes! Hurray!

Before this match made in heaven was .. well .. matched. I was using Max Factor's False Lash Effect mascara - now i LOVED this mascara and thought i have found 'The One'.. but the fact that it dried out in the space of 2 weeks left me very irritated!

So here is the golden tube of lovliness!...

(please excuse sinfully chipped nails!)
The difference with this beauty is the brush "no clump formula" - there's basically a ledge inside that wipes the excess product off as you pull the brush out.. clever!

The brush itself has teeny tiny bristles to volumise and the consistency of the mascara makes it so easy to build and create massive false effect lashes! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

And i am sooo glad i did it.

I do not think i will EVER go back to long hair... I didn't even straighten OR style my hair this morning - that is how easy this style is to manage!

When styling a use a little of Lee Stafford's Messed Up gooey stuff... smells luuuush! then just put it into place.

I can't stress ENOUGH how easy this is to manage and i am in loooove with it!

My nails have been walking a thin line toward suicide the past 7 or 8 months - which is all down to the vicious circle that is ACRYLIC NAILS - they look beautiful when done, awful when taken off... and since (like many people reading this post) I have nay time nor patience or even substantial attention span for manicuring my own nails back to good health! Eurgh - it's just SO boring, filing, oiling, strengthening, cliping...the list is endless but i have now found a happy place....

This 'cream' which is more of a balm formula, softens and conditions the cuticles which result in a healthier nail growth! And - WOW are my nails loving it! 2 weeks of using this baby and they are neat and tidy little cuticles - no hang nails!!

Out of Hibernation!

Yes – i am BACK, i feel like a hamster/squirrel/bear, hording all my information up for a whole entire month and BAM im here to spill it all.

Ok so i shall update you first of all as to where the hell i have been! Not had a very nice month of January :( I moved house which was all good but the move didn't go so well, a lot happened, i lost my mother, i lost my boyfriend, i lost my laptop, i lost my iPhone so absolutely no means of contact (or anything eles for that matter!!)

But no i am sporting a new (pink) laptop and new web camera i am ready to dive back into my blog and YouTube channel!

Ok now that's out my system lets be serious - Twilight has recently teamed up with DuWop (The creators of the infamous Lip Venom) To create two lines of Twilight inspired make-up

The Line i decided to delve into was Luna Twilight which is a mix of illuminaters and soft natural colours, as opposed to the Volturi Twilight which includes bold coloured pigments and lip colours. The products are a touch pricey and defiantly up there with the more high end brands but personally i think the products are more than worth the money and are VERY high quality.

So i ordered these lovely creamy pencils 2 weeks ago via Boots.com and it was L.O.V.E at first sight.

The colours are amazing and the price??.. even better! - for £18.50 you get 9 pencils that are half sizes of the usual £11 pencils - that sounds very good to me! :)

Good evening one and all

I was going to make this post on the fact i wanted my hair cut like Rihanna's xfactor hairstyle and to see what all of you guys thought until i saw a mean website saying she looked like an old man with a comb-over... after this i was very quickly over the hair cut.

SO.. i thought i would take this opportunity to give a HUUUUGE thank you to my subscribers which are now at a grand total of 1,430 - WOW. I remeber when id uploaded my first video and thinking "OMG!" at the concept of having 3subscribers! And as you are all so loyal i thought i would give you an exclusive update...

I applied for partner yesterday, which i am praying i get as i want to make my channel a million times better than what it i for you guys - and longer videos for me to ramble on about what we love most! I'm a little worried i won't get it as i have used a couple of unauthorised celeb photos and music within my videos (literally 1 or 2!) But i'm not going to delete all my videos just so i can make partner. I shan't do that to you guys! (Or my hard work!)

Neutral Work Eyes

So i'm just getting ready for the evening shift at work - boo :(

And i've recently had a few questions from my YouTube subscribers about if my current foundation (Estee Lauder's Double Wear in Sand) goes with my fake tan.

So I Decided to do a little show and tell on a mix of the foundation i use with my St Moriz (AMAZING TANNER!) and the look i go for when i'm at work.

So i've found that my Estee Lauder Double Wear does NOT look good when i've tanned with my St Moriz Mousse, it gives this chalky white mask look to my face which it does not do when i am not tanned - slightly fustraiting as i LOVE this foundation it is perfect for me in every way.

I have played around with a few foundations to match up with my St Moriz tan such as MAC-Studio Scult and Chanel Teint Innocence and non worked always giving an orange tinge to my face :(

So today i tried this....

No7 Protect and Perfect Foundation in Almond - its a beautiful bronzed colour without that horrid orange or dirty face effect and its part of the famous Protect an Perfect range which means pore minimizing and a flawless finish. Most definately my new love for my tanned bod :)

Heres how it looked and my Nude Work Look (gold/chocolate eyes and lots of eyeliner)...

XEN-TAN Review

Sorry it's taken a while to get this up, i had some exam resits at university and was forced to become a hermit and revise :( booo! but now i am done and back to thinking about cosmetics again...

So this is a quick review on the not so new but new enough XEN-TAN Deep Bronze Luxe Premium Sunless Tan (phew..long name!) I am in a long and commited love affair with the XEN-TAN Origional Dark Lotion so hearing about this new even darker tanner i was right there!

(Face tanner & Full body)

The colour of the end result is very simular to the normal dark lotion just a little more moisturising and longer lasting as it has more of the DHA tanning ingredient and a time release of the same ingredient therefore giving you a darker tan for longer.

The colour on my hand is how the lotion goes on, it is a creamy sheer caramel colour and dries dark in aroun 3-4 hours.)

The size ive for here is a 236ml which is quite big and should last you around 5-6 full body tans (longer if your using the separate tanner for the face) I got this size for £22.50 from www.gorgeousshop.co.uk

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation Review

Yes i am late on this bandwagon as i am with most bandwagons! I'm not one to impulse buying and hype (boring i know!) But i like to know that a product is going to work and make a difference to my skin and be a revolution in my makeup bag!

...So i looked at a few reviews on this particular product and it was a very mixed result as some YouTubers claimed it broke them out and sat very heavy on the skin due to its gel-like texture. I was very worried about this as my skin is ultra sensitive and breaks out if i even just look at something greasy!.. very irritating and it takes ALOT to keep my skin clear (vigorous St Ives and No7 skincare routine with extensive water consumption!) But i was pleasantly suprised by the Studio Scult Foundation as for me it feels very light and natural (a little goes a long way!) and gives me the very much saught after flawless finish.

I use the Studio Sculpt along with my Studio Finish Concealer and Blot Powder (Blush: Peachykeen) And looks great on photos unlike the Studio Fix Fluid!...

MAC Haul

I was very naughty and did what i was not supposed to be doing for 3 months (aggressive saving for holiday!) and shopped on MAC..oooops!

I may be naughty but i was in dyer need of studio finish concealer..as i made an error of dropping mine into a bowl of cereal then leaving it over night whilst it festered away in a puddle of milk. Not very happy when i woke the next day! So i purchased a new concealer NC30 as usual and then i got click happy.....

Hello Guys, this is my first blog so bare with me everything is looking a little empty on here but i shall makesure to get started on bulking it up!
So as most of you probably know already by watching my recent update video, i am now part of the beautycounterdirect.co.uk review panel which i am very excited about. I have given them all my details and i should be recieving some products to review shortly!
